The design of this sneaker store is centered around retro and the future, achieving a collision and integration of styles within a limited space. The streamlined wooden wall cabinets and the cut spatial structure inject a pioneering visual tension. This design is not merely a patchwork of styles, but rather precisely aligns with the inherent characteristics of sneaker culture.
Store design
The spatial design of the store is the first expression of the retro × future theme. The core logic is to construct memory points with a sense of conflict and echo the theme with details. The store takes the arch as the core structure of the space. The entrance, display area and passageways all adopt smooth arched Outlines. It echoes the classic elements in retro architecture.
Meanwhile, the arched structure creates a sense of enclosure. Let the consumers who enter the store naturally enter a relatively closed immersive trend field. It forms a separation from the external space, strengthening the exclusive cultural attributes of the store.
- Materials: The background wall retains the exposed red bricks. The rough texture and mottled color directly convey a retro atmosphere. The main wall is made of curved grey walls. It not only forms a visual contrast with the red bricks but also creates a sense of simplicity for the future space. The floor is made of light-colored stone splicing, and the natural texture balances the conflict of wall materials, keeping the overall space harmonious.
- Functional zoning: The entrance area extends the visual boundary of the space through arched frames and mirror reflections. Create a sense of deja vu as a future passage. The core display area features wooden wall cabinets as the main body, complemented by retro carved cabinets, creating a dual function of product display and cultural display. The rest area is embedded with black leather sofas and bright-colored lounge chairs. It not only echoes the theme with retro furniture but also provides consumers with a space for a lingering experience.
Wall cabinet design
The wooden wall cabinet is the design soul of this store. Based on natural materials, it has achieved a dual innovation of retro functionality and future form.
Shape: Traditional wooden cabinets are mostly based on straight lines and rectangles. The wall cabinets in this store adopt a streamlined design. The main frame of the wall cabinet features smooth curves, fitting the arched structure of the space. The cabinet layer adopts irregular geometric cutting, and some areas present pointed tops and inclined surfaces.
Function: The cabinet layers adopt a layout that combines high and low staggered patterns with dense and sparse designs. Shoes of common sizes are densely arranged in pairs to meet consumers’ selection needs. Limited editions and featured items are displayed separately on the prominent shelves. Highlight the scarcity of the product.
Details: Some cabinets have reserved hidden storage compartments. It can hold items such as shoe boxes and product manuals. It not only keeps the display surface clean and tidy, but also makes it convenient for the staff to quickly take and put out the goods.
