This contemporary pet grooming salon design both an innovative methodology for interior space design which does not require any utensils, and moves away from the conventional sense of pet grooming and pet goods retailing. By using a blend of minimalist design along with functionalism, this new establishment creates an exceptional experience for both humans and their pets to share in the consumption of products and services within the same area.
Reception Area
The reception area, as the first point of contact in the space, adopts an open layout to break the traditional barriers of service areas with counters.
Core: Two 1.8-meter-diameter circular suspended seats anchor the space, their white metal frames contrasting sharply with dark gray fabric cushions. The 30-degree inclined load-bearing structure comfortably supports pets as they rest.
Partition: A 12mm thick ultra-clear tempered glass partition with engraved words such as “refresh” and “relax” for therapeutic purposes. While ensuring ample natural light, it uses the semi-translucent effect to divide functions and enhance the sense of space.
Details: The reception desk combines stone and solid wood multi-layer boards. The surface’s water ripple texture is the effect of the LED backlighting.
Product Display Area
Unlike the static display of traditional shelves, this salon display area adopts a display system, redefining the selling scenario of pet products. Three groups of circular storage trays with a diameter of 1.2 meters connect to the track system via stainless steel suspension rods and can adjust in height and angle according to the type of products, creating a harmonious and layered visual effect.
The background wall features combine the design of hand-painted pet portraits and verb matrices. Behaviors such as “fetch” and “groom” in a gradient color scheme. This creates an immersive pet behavior scene, strengthening the brand’s memory points. Above each storage tray, a 3000K light is to highlight the product’s texture through precise light control.
Operation Function Area
The beauty operation area adopts a combination layout of full openness and semi-privacy, ensuring operational efficiency while meeting the owner’s need for companionship.
Space layout: The operation area and the waiting area separate by a 1.5-meter-high glass partition wall. This not only ensures that the owner can have a full view throughout the process, but also avoids interference with the beautician’s operations through the height difference.
Function: The beauty station is equipped with a concealed drainage system. The adjustable countertop can accommodate pets of different sizes. Surrounding it is an embedded tool cabinet, with magnetic door systems allowing for quick access to the equipment.
Atmosphere Creation
The entire space is constructed through precise material matching, creating an emotional healing environment that combines professionalism with friendliness. The main color, light gray, sets a calm tone. A small amount of wooden elements add a touch of natural warmth. Some metal components enhance the refined feel. This results in a balanced visual experience of cold, warm, and bright colors.
The base colors are white, grey and wood color. Only brand colors such as deep blue and warm orange are used to decorate the product display area. The use of colors helps alleviate the stress response of pets. The walls are coated with siliceous soil, which not only regulates humidity but also absorbs odors in the space.
